1. Your Right to Delete
At SyncStudio, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how the deletion process works and what data is affected.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:
- In-app: Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the SyncStudio dashboard
- Email: Send a request to privacy@syncstudio.ai from the email address associated with your account
- Contact form: Submit a deletion request via our contact page
3. What Data Is Deleted
When you request account deletion, we permanently remove the following data:
- Your account profile and authentication credentials
- Video scripts, topics, and all generated content
- Scheduling history and calendar data
- Connected platform tokens and account links (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
- Workspace settings and team membership data
- Usage analytics associated with your account
- Any uploaded media files and assets
4. What Data May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained for a limited period after deletion for the following reasons:
- Legal compliance: Transaction records and billing history as required by tax and financial regulations (typically up to 7 years)
- Fraud prevention: Basic account identifiers may be retained to prevent abuse and enforce our terms
- Backups: Data in encrypted backups will be purged as part of our regular backup rotation cycle (within 90 days)
5. Processing Timeline
Deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been permanently deleted. During the processing period, your account will be immediately deactivated and inaccessible.
6. Third-Party Platform Data
When your account is deleted, we revoke all access tokens for connected platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and remove any stored platform data from our systems. Please note that content already published to these platforms will remain on those platforms — you will need to manage that content directly through each platform.
7. Data Portability
Before deleting your account, you may request a copy of your data. We will provide an export of your content, settings, and account information in a commonly used format. To request a data export, contact us at privacy@syncstudio.ai.
